This is to inform all Bridge players that Mrs. Vijaya Jajoo Memorial National Mixed Pairs Bridge Championship 2020, will be held online on Realbridge platform from 6th – 14th March 2021 (5-day Event), under the auspices of Bridge Federation of India. Depending on no. of entries, there will be 2 or 3 elimination rounds followed by an All-play-all Final. The format of the tournament will be Swiss IMP Pairs in elimination as well as final.

Elimination -1 on Saturday, 6th March 2021 will consist of 12 rounds of 4 boards each. Nearly 40-50% pairs will get eliminated at the end of elimination-1. Depending on no. of entries, the Elimination-2 will be played on Sunday, 7th March 2021 as either 8 rounds of 6 boards or 12 rounds of 4 boards each. Nearly 40-50% pairs will get eliminated at the end of elimination-2.
In case the entries are 100 or more, then there will be a Elimination -3 round on Thursday, 11th March 2021, which is a public holiday. The Elimination-3 will consist of 8 rounds of 6 boards each to be played with initial random draw and actual Swiss Rank draw thereafter. TOP 16 pairs will get qualified to the Finals at the end of elimination-2 or elimination-3. There will be Carryover as per the SCoC, from each elimination round to next elimination round till Final.
Top 16 Pairs will play an all-play-all finals on 13th March (Saturday) & 14th March (Sunday), 2021. There will be 15 rounds of 6-board matches (8 rounds on 13th March & 7 on 14th March). Those pairs who do not qualify for the finals are eligible to play in the UPASANA JAJOO MIXED IMP PAIRS TROPHY on Sunday 14th March 2021, without any additional entry fee. This event will be an IMP event in 2 Sessions of 20 boards each.
IMPORTANT – Performance in the Mixed Pairs will be eligible for Ranking Points for Indian Mixed Teams selection. Hence Trios are not allowed.
Entry Fee will be Rs. 1200 per Pair. Entries will be open from 24th Feb 2021 and close on 5th March 2021 by 1700 Hrs.
Total Prize Money = Rs. 150,000 (Rs. 120,000 for main event & Rs. 30,000 for UPASANA JAJOO MIXED IMP PAIRS
