The Selection Trials for the upcoming 47th World Bridge Teams Championships  will be on team based format for which the following information is provided: 

Senior Age Regulations:

Participation in this selection trial is open to all resident bridge players of Indian Nationality having Indian Passport only. On 1st January 2025 the senior’s eligibility age is 64 years of age. Hence, the player participating should attain this criteria to be eligible before the  world championship. 

Entries for the Indian Seniors Team to be sent to BFI Secretary at bfisecretary2020@gmail.com  with a capitation fee of Rs. 50000 per team  to be paid to BFI for participation in the selection trial. No entry will be confirmed without payment of capitation fee. Any Entry fee paid will be refunded if cancelled before the due date.

Please note that all teams participating at Senior Selection Trials will agree to undertake a financial commitment to self fund their team towards all expenses (including entry fees) for the 47th World Bridge Teams Championships unless financial assistance is received from the Sports Ministry to whatever extent possible.

Based on the entries received, BFI will announce the suitable dates and venue for the Seniors Selections Trials once the entries are closed. Main Event Details:  D’Orsi Senior Trophy will be held in Herning, Denmark between August 20 and August 31 and the Opening Ceremony to be held on August 19.
Each WBF member NBO  in good standing is invited to send one National team in each category. Each WBF member NBO in good standing is invited to send any number of Pairs, in good standing, to the National Pairs Championships (Open, Women’s, Seniors’ and Mixed).
