Those Juniors who have not enrolled so far in the above given list (Juniors/Youngsters/Kids) should immediately register their names before 15th January 2019. The Girls Team may be formed as per recommendation of the committee.
Roadmap for Junior Development Program in 2019:
Bridge Federation of India is pleased to announce the junior development program for the year 2019 to prepare the Indian youth under the various categories (U21/25 Juniors, Kids, Girls) for the national and world championships systematically under the guidance of the Junior Development Committee. Training will be given by trainers and coaches. The federation will be very strict to observe the commitment level of the juniors and their efforts towards each coaching camp based on the report submitted by the official coaches and Camp director.
All juniors, kids and girls who wish to take active interest in the sport in line with their academics will be promoted to get exposure in national tournaments with some concessions offered by the federation.
BFI is planning to organize coaching camps and national championships in following categories:
1. Juniors and girls – born on or after 1st January 1994
2. Youngsters born on after 1st January 1999 and kids – born on and after 1st January 2004
Schedule for the Coaching Camps/Junior Nationals:
Sub Junior – Junior Nationals:
The federation will conduct one National Championship of Sub Junior and Junior in the vacation period of May-June every year. The event will consist of Seminar and team/pair/individual event in all categories. This will be highest recognized tournament for all the juniors to attain the merit rewards and recognition. All state associations are requested to take initiative and persuade their youth to take active interest in this national event. Participation in championships is important for shortlisting players for coaching camps.
The Junior Development Committee has proposed to organize two coaching camps. The Schedule for the camps will be in the vacation period considering the academic calendar of schools and colleges.
The federation intends to expand its horizon to initiate program as an open platform. These camps will be stratified based on the entries received by the federation within the announced due dates. The camps will include practical and theory lessons with a lot of case studies given to solve based on the level of the group. Among these various practical competitions, there will be evaluation of prospects of the juniors to be considered for further training and exposure in national and international events.
