INDIA QUALIFIES IN OPEN/WOMEN/SENIORS CATEGORY FOR 43rd WORLD BRIDGE TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS

INDIA wins the BFAME SENIOR AND OPEN Teams:

The Indian SENIORS team comprising of Dipak PODDAR (Captain), Jitendra SOLANI, Anand SAMANT, R.A. AGARWAL, R. SRIDHARAN & S. DHAKRAS CLINCHED VICTORY over PAKISTAN in a 32-boards final to determine the Winner of the Senior Teams for Nawzad Shaker Trophy in the BFAME Championships 2017.

After the Seniors team conquered the title at DUBAI, The Indian OPEN team represented by Ashok GOEL (Captain), K R VENKATRAMAN, Sumit MUKHERJEE, Debbrata MAJUMDAR, P. SRIDHAR & S. SUNDERRAM beat Bangladesh in the 32 boards final of the Open Teams of the 19th BFAME Championships to win the coveted Zakaria Adamjee Memorial Trophy, the symbol of BFAME supremacy.

Indian Women finish Runners Up at the BFAME Championships, 2017:

The Indian team represented by Bindiya NAIDOO, Sathyavati VASANTH, Alka KSHIRSAGAR, Vasanti SHAH, Marianne KARMARKAR and Rupa BAKERI qualified comfortably to the Finale against Jordan thereby securing a berth for the World Championships. The 32-boards final between Jordan & India was played to determine the Winner of the Women Teams in the BFAME Championships 2017. Jordan won the match by 47 IMPs to win the coveted Vinodini Goenka Trophy.
