The Indian open team had another dismal day at the office, losing to un-fancied Guadeloupe and Chinese Taipei and also to Canada. At the end of the 5th day, the open team was languishing at the 19th spot. The Indian women’s team remained at the last but one spot. In spite of having a good day with 2 wins and a narrow loss, the Indian seniors slipped to 14th position at the end of the day, but were within reasonable striking distance of qualification, about 17 victory points short of the current 8th placed team. BFI has formed a committee to focus on Bridge Education called Education Promotion and Teaching Committee (EPTC). EPTC has plans to launch Bridge education in a standardized way across the country as detailed in the enclosed approach Document.
